Fida: Rachel Corrie in the eyes of the Palestinian people in the ninth anniversary of her martyrdom.
To commemorate the Martyrdom of American peace activist Rachel Corrie, which cited on March 16, 2003 in Rafah in the Gaza Strip, where a Bulldozer of the Israeli occupation forces killed the activist Rachel who was defending the Palestinian people's right to life .The Israeli soldier killed her and went up on her body, front sight and hearing of her fellow activists from the International Solidarity campaign, and under the eyes of the world's eyes.
Jamal Abu Nahel, Political bureau member and an official of national relations in the Democratic Union of Palestinian "Fida" stated:
Rachel Corrie came to Palestine to defend the values of the right to life, peace, equality and freedom. Rachel Corrie did not expect the extent of barbaric Israeli occupation. She said in one of her letters to her mother in the USA: "I am disappointed that this is the fact of our world, we already share it. This is not at all what I came for. This is not at all what people wanted when they came to this world. This world is not what my father and you wanted me to be in. This world is not what I meant when I looked at Capitol Lake: And I said, this is the big world and I came to it".
Abu Nahel has also valued the role of international peace activists who came to Palestine to participate, and also those who are active in supporting the just struggle of our people towards freedom and right to self-determination and building a Palestinian state and Jerusalem as its capital and our people's right to return.
Abu Nahel appealed the international organizations, human rights, and relevant organizations to raise lawsuits against the government of the Israeli occupation, officers and soldiers of the army of occupation, who commit daily killings against the Palestinian people and their friends, indifferent to the international community. They should be sent to the international war crimes tribunal. The history of the Israeli army is full of crimes of genocide and crimes of the Organization especially after the acquittal of Rachel Corrie fought in front of the Israeli court. There are many many of the evidence on the participation of the judiciary in Israel to cover up the crimes of the Israeli occupation forces.
Abu Nahel considered that the silence of the international community and the official bodies about the crimes of the Israeli occupation government encourages the occupation's brutality and aggression to continue murder, and to take advantage of international protection which confirms that the Israeli occupation a state above the law.
فدا: راشيل كوري في عيون الشعب الفلسطيني في الذكرى التاسعة لاستشهادها
أكد جمال أبو نحل عضو المكتب السياسي ومسؤول دائرة العلاقات الوطنية في الاتحاد الديمقراطي الفلسطيني "فدا" في ذكرى استشهاد ناشطة السلام الأمريكية راشيل كوري والتي استشهدت بتاريخ 16مارس2003 بمدينة رفح بقطاع غزة حيث قام بلدوزر قوات الاحتلال الإسرائيلي بقتل الناشطة راشيل وهي تدافع عن حق الشعب الفلسطيني بالحياة, وقد قام جندي إسرائيلي بقتلها والصعود علي جثتها, أمام مرآى ومسمع من زملائها نشطاء حملة التضامن الدولية , وتحت مرآى من عيون العالم.
راشيل كورى قدمت إلى فلسطين للدافع عن قيم الحق في الحياة و السلام و المساواة و الحرية. لم تتوقع راشيل كورى مدى همجية الاحتلال الإسرائيلي , حيث قالت في إحدى رسائلها لوالدتها بالولايات المتحدة الأمريكية , " أشعر بخيبة الأمل أن يكون هذا هو أساس حقيقة عالمنا , إننا نشارك فيه بالفعل , ليس هذا أبدا ما أتيت من أجله إلى هذا العالم , ليس هذا أبدا ما أراده الناس عندما أتوا إلى هذا العالم , ليس هذا العالم الذي أردت أنت و أبى , أن أتى إليه , عندما قررتما أن تنجباني , ليس هذا ما عنيته عندما نظرت إلى بحيرة كابيتول : و قلت هذا هو العالم الكبير و أنا أتيت إليه ".
وثمن أبو نحل عالياً دور نشطاء السلام الدوليين و الذين منهم من جاء إلى فلسطين مشاركا , و منهم من ينشط في دعم نضال شعبنا العادل نحو الحرية و حق تقرير المصير و بناء الدولة الفلسطينية و عاصمتها القدس , وحق شعبنا بالعودة .
وطالب أبو نحل , المنظمات الدولية لحقوق الإنسان , و المنظمات ذات الصلة برفع دعاوى على حكومة الاحتلال الإسرائيلي وضباط و جنود جيش الاحتلال, والذين يمارسون القتل اليومي ضد الشعب الفلسطيني وأصدقائه، غير عابئين بالمجتمع الدولي, وذلك بتقديمهم إلي محكمة جرائم الحرب الدولية, حيث تاريخ الجيش الإسرائيلي حافل بالجرائم و بجرائم الإبادة المنظمة . و ذلك بعد تبرئة قاتل راشيل كورى أمام المحكمة الإسرائيلية, وهناك العديد العديد من الشواهد على مشاركة القضاء الإسرائيلي في التغطية على جرائم قوات الاحتلال الإسرائيلي .
واعتبر أبو نحل أن صمت المجتمع الدولي والجهات الرسمية منه على جرائم الاحتلال الإسرائيلي يشجع حكومة الاحتلال و قواتها الغاشمة على مواصلة العدوان و القتل مستغلين شبكة الحماية الدولية, وباعتبار دولة الاحتلال الإسرائيلي دولة فوق القانون.
